Why choose Hydrogel Dressing

What is the hydrogel dressing?

The hydrogel dressing can promote the body to use the effective components in the wound exudate, including to digest and degrade the necrotic tissue. This process is called Autolytic debridement.

This process can be enhanced by the moisturizing properties of the hydrogel, as wound exudate accumulates under the moist dressing, softening and liquefying the necrotic tissue,Autolytic debridement created in hydrogels utilizes biological properties for minimal invasiveness and pain.

Best for wounds that do not drain a lot; no ingredients listed
This Hydrogel Wound Dressing has a thick consistency and is clear in color.I sniffed the gel, and did not smell a scent. When I removed the cap, I saw a foil covering the opening of the tube. I like this security feature.Because this wound dressing has moisture, I like that it does not stick to the wound, and so, when it comes time to clean the wound for another round of treatment, it is not difficult to remove this hydrogel.I've used hydrogel in the past when - during gardening - I get abrasions of my skin. When this happened, I clean the wound with saline solution. I then gently pat the wound dry with gauze. Then, applied a thin layer of hydrogel, added gauze pads, and medical grade tape. I changed the dressings every 2-3 days, until the skin heals up.If my wound is small size, I just use a band-aid.note: when using hydrogel, I make sure not to use too much hydrogel, and apply it only to the wound (otherwise, the skin at the edge of the wound becomes soft and may open up, making the wound larger).Lastly, but very important, I could not find the list of ingredients. I would like to know what is in this hydrogel.Overall, this hydrogel is for wounds that do not drain a lot (such as diabetic ulcers, sunburns, etc.) and makes changing the wound dressing less painful because it won't stick to the wound.
