I absolutely love this pot, I used it to cook greens and turkey tails and it cooked them perfectly. I have absolutely no complaints about this pot I see no improvements that need to be made. I would definitely recommend this to any friends or family that wants a really nice pot for soups or anything they may want to make. I also love that this pot is literally the perfect size at least for me but thats definitely another factor in why I love it so much it gets a ten outta ten from me.

Home Tester Club

On the day I received my new mainstays eight quart stainless steel stock pot, I was also planning on making my homemade vegetable soup so it all worked out. I usually make it in twelve quart stock pot but there is a lot of wasted room in the pot and it doesn't fit too well in my refrigerator. My new eight quart fits perfect in the bottom shelf the lid stayed on and my soup was still fresh as the day I cooked it. The lid and the pot handles stayed fairly cool, the pot heated up quickly and keep the heat. This stock pot is light, easily stored, and the clean up was quick and easy. It was also small enough that I could have fit it in to my dishwasher. This stainless steel stock pot has a beautiful shine that I would show off at any of my family get togeathers, or ever take on my family road trips when we camp. Like I said its a easy clean, little soap and water, and we're off to our next family destination. This is a great stock pot that I plan on making great meals with and trying out recipes that I have never tried before , I can't wait. Another great mainstays product!

Love this mainstays stock pot!

This is seriously such a great size for my family! I just got it yesterday and already used it cause I was so excited..lol.. I LOVE IT!! I can tell this will be my new go to pot for so many things! It's got a nice look to it and isn't super heavy or awkward. I would for sure recommend it!!

Perfect size for my large family!!

I need pots for chili and soups. Every time I'd make something hoping it would last and we could have leftovers, soups are so much tastier the next day or two. But after I'd make it they would eat it all. All my pots were too small. This pot holds the perfect amount. We have been able to enjoy our soups for a few days now. This pot is beautiful stainless steel it just shines so nicely.

Love this pot

This is so upscale looking. Its sleek. Love the way it looks. It looks expensive 
Its thin and light weight. I have to say the only thing I didnt like was 
that the handles get hot while your cooking. Use oven mitts:)
I want to get the matching pieces and complete the look. 
I would definitely recommend to a friend. Love it! It's easy to clean too!

Sleek and sexy

I love this pot! It was perfect for making a big batch of my chicken noodle soup. It was not heavy or bulky and I was able to handle it even when full. The pricing was perfect for this size.

Stock Pot

This 8 quart stock pot was precisely what I was expecting. The entire pot is very thin metal and certainly makes a lot of noises. The lid fits well just by sitting on top and does not seal well as light boiling will bobble it up quickly. The bottom being two different levels makes this actually a little worse to use than other more premium pots. I know this is a value brand, but I would splurge on a better pot if I were to buy one and get a much better, longer lasting experience.

Expectations Match

The stainless steel stock pot is very lightweight before adding any items into it. So upon cooking in it, it will not cause the stockpot to be too heavy but with it being very lightweight it does have a cheap feeling to it. This would be a good stock pot as a starter, but I will not use the stock pot to replace my other stainless steel stock pots.

Lightweight- good starter pot

The handles are made of cheap alumimum that sheds into the water and causes a build up, making it not safe for consumption so you'd have to start your cooking under the handles ie you're not getting the entire use of the pot. Very disappointed but you get what you pay for.

Alumimun

Stainless steel sheets were butt-welded together prior to forming in an apparent attempt to stretch what would otherwise be scrap into a sellable product. An extremely flawed and cheap process. Then this flawed weld was exposed by the forming process which produced huge gaps in the metal sheet, only to be ignored by any "quality assurance" inspection. HUGE FAIL
