The weight limit is 250# - that includes yourself and any gear you take.  Along with the water that naturally comes in from the oars.  You may want to go up a size or you&#39;ll be sitting pretty low in the water.

Its about 40 lbs! Not too hard to carry! I&#39;m a 125 pound female and don&#39;t have a problem getting it around!

The paddle will only float for a moment before it will sink.

Not for very long!  If you are concerned about the paddle sinking, I suggest you get a swim noodle or two, cut them appropriately, and then shove them over the paddle shafts.

Suggest you do as I did with the paddle, and secure a &quot;swim noodle&quot; in your choice of colour!  Simply cut two 24 to 25 inch sections out of the noodle, and then slide them over the respective halves of the paddle.  Get the small diameter noodles, and they will both fit well, and provide a good grip for paddling.  Pour a little dish soap inside each noodle section before pushing on the paddle halves, and they will slide on with only reasonable effort. To effect sliding on the half with the locking button, use a piece of duct tape to keep the button depressed during sliding on the noodle, then remove the tape once the noodle is properly affixed to the paddle.  Paddle will now securely float if dropped in the water!

Get some foam backer rod and insert it in the hollow metal tubing of the handle.  It is closed cell poly, like Nerf material, so it won't sink.  Same concept as the pool noodle but out of sight.

We ended up with the Daylite, as we wanted to purchase the 2 Kayak deal...but with coronavirus it was too long to wait.  So, we were excited to be able to purchase at least one new kayak.  So, now we have 3...with grandkids, we wanted the extra kayaks so they can join in the fun with us.  Maybe in the spring will order yet another one.  We LOVE our Lifetime Kayaks...so much fun, and we use ours at least 3-4 days a week during the spring, summer, and fall.

This is giving us many happy hours of kayaking.  We are over 60 and needed something very stable and easy to use. 
It's very sturdy and stands up to a lot of punishment as well. We can easily hoist it onto the SUV roof rack and travel to the lakes, bay and rivers to put in.  Just love it.

Stable Easy To Travel With Kayak

We purchased 2 of the 8ft kayaks for our boys ages, 13 and 10. These kayaks are very durable and lightweight. Easy for them to pick up and carry on their own. So far they have exceeded our expectations. One of the kayaks was missing a small clamp for the back rest so I called the company and they gladly sent the piece. Hoping to purchase another one that holds more weight!

This has a center-carry handle so you can carry it sideways by yourself (it looks like an oblong hole in front of the seat). This kayak glides easily through my pond full of surface seaweed. To keep my feet out of the muck, I just plopped two thick 6' planks into the water for an instant boat ramp!

Fun, stable, and perfect for small ponds!

Easy to handle alone in and out of the water.  My 8 year old son likes this kayak more than our expensive ones.  My dog even rides with me.  Super stable.
