CRV and TSR - Explosion Proof
I recently purchased 24 of these Butane canisters for my stove. They work fine. In reading the posts, there were several people who stated that they did not have a CRV rating or the "blue" ring and thus were dangerous.First of all, any pressurized fuel container is dangerous if not properly used! All of the butane stoves state that the cooking pan/pot/wok and etc. should not overhand the canister area since this will dangerously heat the canister!!Secondly, the CRV technology/Blue ring are one way of relieving the pressure if the canister does overheat. The other system is TSR.The GasOne canisters I received have the label "TSR" which states is "Triple Seaming Rim Vent Release". It too is also explosion proof since if it gets to hot, it will also vent. Both vent systems are also UL Listed!Now, the vent systems are explosion proof however, if you use the stove incorrectly, as stated above, both systems will vent butane into the surrounding area probably resulting in a large fire.So, follow the directions and use the stove as directed. Do not allow pans/pots/woks and etc. to overhang the canister area and you will be fine.
