My niece used this to make a chocolate chip banana bread and it was delicious and moist. You can use the skillet in the oven or on the stove.

Well, the pan did not disappoint. Cooked everything in it, from scrambled eggs, salmon fillets, stir fry peas/chicken (to which I added penne w sauce) and nothing sticks, and comes off with water and brush.
So why the 4 stars? I forgot how heavy this thing is. I have the 10" version, and it is still almost impossible to lift it up with my left hand and move the contents to a serving dish. I almost always need help from my spouse to hold it up over the serving dish.
And here is the worst part! The Made in China silicone handle sleeve is a poor fit over the handle of the Made in USA pan. It is very loose. The first time I tried to lift it up using the silicone handle sleeve, the pan twisted inside the sleeve and almost fell onto the glass cooktop!!!
The only thing the sleeve is useful for is to hold the pan while I stir its contents, but a bar towel works just as well. If I could just return the sleeve, I would.
Save yourself $5 and buy the version without the red silicone hot handle holder!

Enter the cast-iron pan. My new true love. You WILL NOT BELIEVE how absolutely excellent and genuinely non-stick they are. I am converted. Husband is converted. And the children had better be converted too, because they will be inheriting them in good-as-new condition.
The one drawback with these pans is that they are rather heavy. If you enjoy flipping pancakes one-handed and are not particularly muscular in the wrists, you might be frustrated by their weight. But if (like me) you have an induction cooker, the weight is an advantage, as they don't slide around the hob like lightweight pans do.
Why on earth does absolutely everybody not use cast-iron pans? I imagine capitalism has something to do with it.
Political speculation aside: buy one of these and you absolutely won't regret it.
We soon got used to cooking on cast iron. Knowing it is the best conductor of heat, cooking becomes cheaper because these skillets require far lower temperatures to cook, hence are highly economical.
After use, scrubbing away bits while following cleaning instructions means this skillet could cook virtually anything. The secret is learning how to respect cooking in cast iron so that their iron never rusts.
This Lodge pan becomes easy care. It is incredibly durable, versatile (once you know how!) and has quickly become our very favourite skillet. Lodge's website also gives easy care instructions plus recipes. They were very helpful to us.
Nothing less than 5 Stars. Very definitely recommended.
I seasoned my pan with oil a couple times before using it and that makes it very easy to clean after with just water and a plastic scouring pad (no soap required). I dry the washing water with a paper towel and then add some oil, wipe the oil to cover the surface, and then put it away. It's a bit heavy, but the results are amazing so I don't mind the extra weight.
On the down side the post office that was delivering it just threw it inside my porch I heard the bang from inside the house. Luckily it wasn’t damaged
