Additional benefit of this is that it can fit on other retro handheld devices (even an original Gameboy if you turn it around and have it show on the front instead of the back). I'm sure there are more flexible designs that would fit more universally, but I think this is a good middle ground between form factor and flexible fit.
Areas for Improvement
I would like it more if it wasn't such cheap-looking red/blue color. Black or gray would be better.
A battery indicator would also be nice, but I'm sure that would increase the size.
The flexible joint is really nice. It gives it some good solid hold on the Switch, the retro handheld, and the Gameboy. If there was a way to build the joint so that it could turn 90 or even 180 degrees that would widen what it can be used for.

This is the only good solution for using Bluetooth with a FlipGrip, that is, playing games vertically. (See picture)
Works perfectly with two headphones or a headphone and external speaker. Will drop down to SBC even if other device can support AptX. Maintains great sound levels for duel use.
Another plus, is that you can obviously use this while charging the Nintendo Switch. The battery in this things definitely last a few hours longer than the Switch does, so it’s useful.
General Cons:
-Needs to be charged
-Range is short in handheld (actually has better range when docked due to orientation)
Device is basically line of sight
-Will not turn off automatically when charging! Must turn off first or the unit will keep connecting to headphones
-Must press and hold the button to turn on and off. Kind of annoying
-Takes about 8 seconds for audio to begin playing once connected
Major Con:
-AptX-LL does indeed work and latency is non-existent when you have the right gear. However, big caveat. AptX-LL introduces consistent popping and crackling sounds into the audio stream. It’s not so bad, but I recommend NOT using AptX-LL
Fiio BTRk owners:
-The combination of this adapter and Fiio BTRk produces audio superior to what comes out of the headphone jack by itself
-Recommend turning off the AptX-LL codec in software. This will force adapter to use normal AptX, which gives you clearer, higher quality audio but introduces a bit of latency
Rhythm Games:
-Works good with AptX-LL, but I can’t recommend using AptX-LL full time on this device because of audio pops
-I suggest plugging in headphones directly OR sticking with normal AptX and adjusting latency within the game itself. An annoying pain to do for sure because it’s per game, while plugging headphones in just works for every rhythm game. It’s a pick your poison kind of choice.
AirPods:
Pros
-Works with AirPods 2nd Gen (can’t be certain about other AirPods)
-Volume reduced by 50%, so not great
(You can get a feel for this by plugging in headphones into the Switch and setting volume to half)
-Uses SBC (no AAC support on this adapter or any other Bluetooth adapter because it’s demanding of CPU)
This is definitely recommended for FlipGrip owners as the USB-C port becomes unavailable when using the grip.

I bought it for my "New 3DS" which I want to take on holiday as it's smaller and lighter than my Switch Lite, so I can use it on the plane with my Galaxy Buds 2. It fits fine - mine is the standard size New 3DS, but there's a small gap between the adapter and the back of the console so it would probably fit the XL as well even if it's a bit thicker. As the 3.5mm port is in the middle of the bottom edge of the console and the adapter is a U shape which wraps round the back of the console from there (my main reason for choosing this one), it doesn't get in the way of where you would naturally hold the console nor stick out far from the bottom. A plain black version would've been nice to blend in better with the 3DS, but obviously the've gone for the Switch colours of red and blue since it originally designed for that, which is fair enough.
When I opened it I suddenly realised the obvious which for some reason hadn't occured to me before, that neither the adapter nor my Buds have a display to enable me to tell them to pair with each other! However turns out you can put the Buds in pairing mode by the right sequence of taps on them, and for the adapter it's just a case of turning it on and then pressing the power button twice more in quick succession. Once I had both devices in pairing mode it only took a few seconds for them both to indicate pairing had been successful, and now they reconnect automatically each time they're near each other.
I tried out the setup with a Mario platformer and although there was a small delay between, eg, pressing the Jump button and hearing the Jump sound effect, it was slight enough that I stopped noticing it once I started just playing the game normally rather than actually listening out for lag.

I even connect an old radio to a Bluetooth speaker and the connection is really good too.
Really recommend it
