Using Harris Toughest Bed Bug Powder

- Dust mattresses, especially folds and edges
- Treat open spaces below floors, around window openings, above ceilings, within walls, under stairs, underneath and behind equipment or appliances, around pipes and sinks, in utility closets and around garbage and waste cans.
- Apply lightly and uniformly behind electrical outlets, picture frames and between carpeting and baseboards

About Harris
Problem solving has a long heritage at PF Harris. In 1924, two years after its founding, the company tackled the Calvin Coolidge White House, which had been overrun for years by roaches and water bugs. Harris’s product was so successful in eliminating the scourge that he was described on the front page of the Washington Times as a "vermin slayer" who has just fought a decisive, winning battle with a horde of cockroaches which infested the lower regions of the Executive Mansion.
Over the course of the next few months Harris took “his final feast” to dozens of government buildings, including the Senate Office Building, the Department of Justice, the Supreme Court and Walter Reed Hospital. Success followed success: Each superintendent of the various buildings was highly satisfied with the results.
The company today stays nimble enough to respond to changing market demands, leading the way in the development of numerous products, including natural insect repellents like Swamp Gator and Swamp Gnat which repel biting insects without using deet. Beyond the products it sells, Harris helps customers find easy and economical solutions to pest problems through helpful labeling, instructive videos and personal advice.
It’s a brand with a reliable past and an innovative future. PF Harris is America’s oldest EPA-registered company. With more than 55 products, the company provides solutions to treat everything from roaches and bed bugs to scorpions and stink bugs.

After removing the offending mattress from my house, I sprayed their bunk bed down with Harris bed bug killer. When I started to take the slats off, I noticed movement. I immediately sprayed the bugs and killed them. Instead of removing more slats and having bed bugs dropping all over the floor, I cut the bunk bed in quarters with a circular saw, wrapped the quarters up, and threw them all out. I then went after the bedroom with a vacuum. I sprayed Harris BedBug killer on all baseboards, up the wall a quarter of the way, and on the carpet. I went after every room in the house vacuuming and spraying every baseboard and up the wall. I removed all material, including curtains and stuffed animals, and washed and dried them at the local laundromat. I then heat treated my house and brought it all up to 150 degrees for 8 hours. I put bedbug encasements on any remaining mattresses and box springs in my house.
After putting my house back together, I used this stuff to put around the baseboards and around the legs of every bed. Getting the brush inside the bottle was a bit of a pain, so I grabbed a tupperware bowl and dumped some in the bowl. I then dipped the brush in the bowl and spread the powder around all baseboards, including the closets, and around the legs of every bed. I also used Harris 5 minute killer spray on my couches. I have constantly checked traps and beds for any signs of any bedbugs and have found nothing. I don't know if it is this stuff or a combination of everything I have done, but I have not seen a bedbug in my house since. I have also noticed no more ants in my house, which I was having a little problem with. I would definitely recommend this stuff in your process of getting rid of the nasty little vermin.
