Take the round base and lay it on the floor. 2 insert the stand pole into the base as far as it will go, don&#39;t force. 3 Unwrap motor and place it on top of pole, push down to mount it.4 pick up rear blade shield and place it on motor face. 5 Pick up big hex shaped nut, about 5 inches in diameter, and place it in front of rear shield and screw it onto the motor housing, Hand tight only! 6 put blade on motor shaft being careful to align shaft with blade. 7: Screw blade mounting nut onto motor shaft, COUNTER-CLOCKWISE and hand tighten. 8: Snap front blade guard onto rear blade guard where the snaps fit together. (This is a little bit hard as the guards move and bend alot. THATS IT !! Extend the pole to the height you want, tighten the pole slip nut and your done ! ENJOY :)

The instructions are easy to follow and has a parts list. There are 3 parts to the fan that need to be aligned properly so it spins freely. Even the cover has to be installed according to the alignment. Look at each piece to see the markings

You shouldn&#39;t miss a part. There&#39;s about 8pieces. It&#39;s pretty simple and easy. Once you get the base and extension pole together you got the rest easy. The motor is inserted into the back of the back of fan and has a ring you screw on by hand then you add the fan blades which have a knob you screw onto the front of blades(note you will need to hold the blades and make sure they are on properly to securely tighten the knob). Then the face of the fan is snap on!

If you leave it in the ON setting and plug it into the timer it should work.  Just make sure the timer can accomidate a grounded plug where one of the prongs is wider than the other.  Otherwise you might need an adapter.

Have you tried tightening the plastic piece with the notches by turning it clockwise. It&#39;s the part that&#39;s located at the top end of the base rod where you inset the other rod.

I have two of these.  They readily adjust in height, using the circular fitting to tighten it in the higher position.

The only tricky part of assembly is to be sure to align the back cover notch with the rise in the motor housing; otherwise it looks like you can put it on in any orientation.

Read my review. Do yourself a favor and return it before it breaks in 3 weeks, like mine. It&#39;s junk!

If you are talking about the &quot;spinner&quot; , I was missing mine also.  Called Lasko customer service and they sent one out to me right away.  You can find which part name it is on the installation instructions

Please show how to put it together. I think I&#39;m missing a part.

Pull up for oscillating and push down for stationary.

Other answer is backwards.  I just purchased &amp; assembled this fan for my mother.  Push down is oscillating, up is stationary.  My other fans work that way too.

You just push down on it it has  3 speeds  1,2,3 and three is the highest

Not sure on this, but it is not very powerful

My base hasn&#39;t fallen off at all but before returning it be sure that you put it together properly
