Poor quality

Laughable Quality and Safety Issue
Bought this mat at BuyBuy Baby in May 7. Today is July 18 and there are several rips and tears I had to tape to prevent further damage.
My son just turned one so he is literally just crawling on this mat and has a few soft toys and non-sharp objects. We do not have pets. There is absolutely no reason for this mat to rip in several places at once just bec of friction.
After turning around for tummy time, the area that comes into contact with my son’s skin starts to bubble and from there it just rips when my sun crawls. Awful product and a safety hazard bec I have to make sure he doesn’t pick up a ripped piece of the stretchy cover that is ripped and swallows it.
DO NOT BUY.

Love the style
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the style of the mat and the material, super soft and easy to clean. My low rating is due to the mat being stained yellow on one of the tops. Not sure what was spilled but even the plastic was yellow. I let company know and nothing has been said to me.

Great Design - Not Durable
We love that this could be flipped to a neutral design, but it has not been durable. Very disappointed since we love the look and the easy cleanup.

Love this playmat!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second purchase of a Skip Hop Reversible Playmat, I have both versions. I'm using one to mark off a play area for my toddler and one for a play area for my 10-month old. The mats are durable, soft and have such bright and fun designs.! Both kids enjoy looking for animals and fun characters on the mats. Very happy with my purchases and would highly recommend.

My kids love this mat!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had the puzzles foam mat in our kids play area. That was always a pain to clean and the kids always took it apart. I seen this reservable mat on the Skip Hop site and loved the colors so we got it. This has been such a great purchase! It’s easy to vacuum and clean up any spills when they happen. my 3 year old always says it soft when she steps on it. Very happy with this mat.

Playtime for the Entire Family
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this for our 4 month old so that he could play downstairs on our hardwood floors. The mat is comfortable for him. It’s large enough that he can roll and move around without me being worried he’ll roll off onto the hardwood. It’s also large enough for myself and husband to get on the mat and play. We are in the heavy drooling phase and it is so easy to clean! The fact that it rolls up for storage is a plus!

A question asking the material of the new playmat has been answered as 'PU foam; TPU'. However, TPU and PU foam are different materials, with different levels of safety. Can you confirm if the playmat is made with TPU, PU, or both?
This is made of both PU FOAM; TPU. All Skip Hop products are tested to meet or exceed ASTM, CPSIA, EN71, and applicable safety standards.
Skip Hop products meet or exceed the regulatory requirements specific to market of sale. These items have passed all testing for its function and material types to satisfy market specific requirements.
We also use certified third-party labs to confirm our compliance, as they have the correct equipment and expertise to perform all tests according to the prescribed methodologies.
