Outpost Questions

Is there cell phone reception at the cabins?

Because of the secluded nature of our outposts, cell phone service may be a little spottier than normal. You may not get any reception at all—if this is the case, embrace the opportunity to unplug and relax. Each of the cabins is equipped with a landline for calls to the Getaway team or to 911 in case of emergency.

Is there a designated area to park?

In most cases, you can feel free to park right next to your cabin. Other sites will have designated parking spaces about 150 feet away from each cabin.

Are other cabins around?

Yes, all of our Outposts feature a collection of cabins. We work hard to make sure each cabin has its own space, but expect to see other cabins on the land.

How does the water supply work?

Many of our Outposts run off of a city feed. However, some of our Eastern Catskills cabins run on a limited supply of about 150 gallons. As long as you are thoughtful in your consumption, you should have enough for about four nights. Hot water is also limited in all cabins. It will last about five minutes for a quick shower, but you'll need to allow 30 minutes between use for it to regenerate

Is the water drinkable/potable?

Yes, the water is drinkable/potable.

Can I set up a tent near my cabin?

We kindly ask that guests do not set up tents at our Outpost to help preserve the solitude and seclusion for your neighbors.
